What a great session with sisters Lila and Mara! I last saw Lila just after she was born for her newborn photo session. What a big girl now at six months! We postponed her session just a few weeks so she was a little more steady sitting up and I’m glad that we did. I like being able to capture those big milestones! I am so thrilled to be photographing Jenny’s wedding! Jen is the sister of my good friend Katie. I had only met her fiance Chris briefly, so it was great to meet up with the two of them at Como Park for their engagement session. We met in the morning and luckily the rain held off until the session was over! Enjoy the preview!

The M family is back and this time with a sweet seven month old! Adorable red-haired Lila is so quick to smile and show off her two little teeth! Big brother Owen is a smart and curious three year old. He was endlessly interested in my camera gear and lights and was my little helper for most of the session. My sister-in-law Becky has a new god-daughter and she is PRECIOUS! Natalia Theresa was a month old for her photo session and was a joy to photograph. I love her bright eyes and chubby cheeks – what a beautiful baby girl! Congratulations to Roberta and Heruy!

Introducing Brianna and Sam – my first engagement session of 2012! This is my first bride whom I used to babysit and I can’t believe that cute, squeeky-voiced toddler is now this beautiful young woman! Brianna and Sam have been dating for six years and were high-school sweethearts. They obviously know each other well and are a great match. They were so much fun to photograph! We met up at the Walker Art Center for their engagement session and braved the cold weather to wander around the sculpture gardens. Brianna is a figure-skating coach, so we stopped at Lake of the Isles to take a quick spin on the ice. Unfortunately the skates available to Sam were broken and pretty much useless so we didn’t spend too much time there, but I was able to put together a fun animation of a few images at the bottom of the post. Enjoy!

I say it all the time, but I just love six month photo sessions. Anya’s session was complete with a sweet baby girl in black and white (love this!), a pink tutu, delicious baby rolls, a bare bottom, and plenty of toe-sucking and hat-eating. What more could I ask for? Enjoy the preview!

I met up with the wonderful D family while Francisco and Maria were home from their winter break. We met at the Walker Art Center – I just love doing sessions here!
